Demolition and replacement of two (2) existing switchboards. Demolition and replacement of two (2) existing control panels for the WWTP screw pumps. Demolition and replacement of two (2) existing Automatic Transfer Switches with Manual Transfer Switches. Area restoration to include grassing and stabilization of all disturbed areas. The City of Rocky Mount is seeking 5% minority business participation on this project. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality. The City will not discriminate against any bidder submitting a bid because of race, creed, color, national origin or handicap. Each request for Bidding Documents must be accompanied with the following information: Company name, contact person, street address, and phone and fax numbers for Bidding office; N. C. contractor license with limitation and classification; identification if the firm will be a Bidder, Supplier or Sub-Contractor. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must conform to the provisions of the North Carolina Contractor Licensing Act of 1925, as amended. A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond will be required from the successful bidder. Bids for this project shall be guaranteed by all bidders for a period of 60 calendar days following the bid opening. The completed Work provides for the replacement of two existing switchboards. The replacement of two existing motor control centers/ control panels that operate the existing screw pumps are part of Additive Alternate No. 1 that may be selected by the Owner. Demolition and replacement of two existing switchboards. Replacement of this existing equipment will include the use of temporary generators in order to maintain normal plant operations while the existing switchboards are replaced with new switchboards. 3. Additive Alternate No. 1 - Demolition and replacement of two existing motor control centers/control panels that feed and operate the influent screw pumps. 4. Area restoration to include grassing and stabilization of all disturbed areas.
