As of February 2, 2021 a contractor and designer are identified. The following is for a historical purposes: As part of the Transmission Main Inspection and Assessment Program, a need was identified to rehabilitate a 3.2-mile reach of 48-inch PCCP transmission main extending north from Orangewood Avenue and 20th Street to North 20th Street and East Shea Blvd. This project will first evaluate available rehabilitation options and technology prior to commencing design of the selected option. Project design will be dictated by the chosen rehabilitation option. The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to provide preconstruction services and complete construction services for the Scenario 3B Transmission Main Rehabilitation project. The selected CMAR will work as a team with the design engineer and City staff to ensure an efficient design approach for the project. The main extends from Orangewood Ave and 20th St. to N. 20th St. and E. Shea Blvd. The estimated construction cost is $35.7 million.
