Saving Project...

Renovation of a mixed-use development in River Falls, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

In general the work consists of: Replace existing 6" steam non-return valves on discharge of each of the three Heating Plant Boilers. Existing non-return valves on boilers 1 & 2 are welded onto the boiler discharge. Welded valves will be cut off and new 300# flanges will be welded onto the boiler and downstream piping. New flanged non-return valves will then be installed. Work will also include the replacement of three (3) 1 1/2" feedwater valves and one (1) 1 1/2" blowdown valve set for boiler 3. The blowdown valve is to be replaced with a flanged valve which includes adding new flanges to the piping. All welding for the non-return valves and blowdown valve to be done by a Contractor with ASME "R" Stamp. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. All potential bidders must become certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $50,000. All bids received from contractors who are not certified will be rejected.
