New Hope Road, Raleigh, NC to provide for the consolidation of the Board of Elections operations in phases. The Wake County Board of Elections Renovations, Phase I Project consisted of securing the warehouse area and building envelope, improving storage capabilities and circulation, adding a large separation wall to assist with climate control, and updating the building's finishes. The Project scope will include improvements to the building envelope, enhancements to the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and security systems, ADA evaluation and compliance, and improvements to the building's functional efficiencies and sustainability. A small amount of sitework is also anticipated to connect the north parking area to the south loading area with a driveway. The scope and cost of Phase II are estimated to be significantly larger than Phase I. Construction is anticipated to begin following the 2020 elections and should be complete prior to November 2021. The Board of Elections operations will continue uninterrupted during the course of the Phase II Project and rigorous security protocols will be in place to accommodate construction activities.
