To reduce existing and future traffic congestion on Rosedale Highway between Calloway Drive and Verdugo Lane and improve local and regional east-west traffic flow. Construction of two additional lanes (one in each direction) from Calloway Drive to Verdugo Lane and operational improvements at Verdugo Lane intersection. Project would modify lane striping and median to accommodate the additional 2-lanes. In exchange for the Compensation (defined below), CONTRACTOR must perform the work outlined in the Special Provisions for the Project ("Scope of Work"). The Scope of Work shall include all items and procedures necessary to properly complete the task CONTRACTOR has been hired to perform, whether specifically included in the Scope of Work or not. The work to be performed consists, in general, of construction of two additional lanes (one in each direction) along SR-58/Rosedale Highway from Verdugo Lane to Calloway Drive and operational improvements at Verdugo Lane signalized intersection. The project would modify lane striping and medians to accommodate the additional 2-lanes. As a result, SR-58/Rosedale Highway would be widened from a four-lane highway to a six-lane highway. During the bidding of this project, contractors who have questions or desire clarifications about the bid documents, must submit those questions or requests for clarifications in writing using the form provided in the bid documents. Said questions and requests for clarifications must be submitted by the date identified in the Request for Information (RFI) form and in these Special Provisions.
