Renovation of a multi-residential development in Flint, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

This project replaces exterior doors at Howard Estates Apartments and windows at Garland Chase Apartments. Howard Estates Apartments - Replacement of 192 exterior doors and frames at 801 Floral Park. Garland Chase Apartments - Replacement of 62 windows at 820 Garland St. and replacement of 118 windows at 906 Garland St. All product substitution requests for consideration must be submitted in writing to the Architect prior to 8:00 a.m. on Friday, September 27 2019. Tentative Contract Award October 23, 2019 The Housing Commission has the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bids submitted. Liquidated damages will be assessed to the General Contractor if the completion dates established below are not met. The amount is $500.00 per day for each day of suitable working weather, except for Sundays and legal holidays, that the Contractor exceeds the specified date for completion of the work. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the date set for the opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids with or without cause and/or to waive informalities in bidding. The documents require the Contractor to identify a duration of work. All work within individual apartments to be completed in one day with the exception of painting. All apartments must be secure and completely functional at the end of the work day.
