**As of October 15, 2019, the project has not yet been awarded. ** GDOT PROJECT NUMBER APXXX-XXXX-XX(163) It is the desire of the City of Wrens to take preventative maintenance action to repair Runway 11-29 along with the associated taxiway and apron pavement. This project will include: This project generally consists of the cleaning and sealing of cracks, and seal coating the entire length of Runway 11-29. Following the crack seal and seal coat, the runway will be remarked. The project has been broken into a Base Bid and three Alternate Bids. The Base Bid will include crack seal, seal coat, and remarking for the runway. Alternate One will include crack seal, seal coat, and remarking for the taxiway and apron area. Alternate Two will just include remarking for the taxiway and apron area. Alternate Three is included to cover additional insured insurance. BIDDING REQUIREMENTS: Bid security in the form of a bid bond, made payable to the City of Wrens, equal to five (5) percent of the total bid is required. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of One Hundred and Twenty (120) days. A Notice-of-Award for the Contract will be issued once a successful bidder has been determined and funding has been secured. The City of Wrens reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids or to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owner's best interests.
