Per the owner, as of January 8, 2024, an award has been made for this solicitation. The owner states that the project is finalizing schematic design. The owner states that the project is anticipated to bid in the fall of 2024 and a firm timeline for construction is not known at this time. The County anticipates that the A&E Firm selected for this work shall conduct meetings and research existing conditions to determine the best use of the property and the best layout for the facility. After determining the Probation Department needs, Contractor shall develop schematic drawings and details as a basis for future design documents. The Contractor shall approach the project with the current adopted California Code Cycle (C.C.R. Title 24) as a basis for building requirement and energy efficiency. The facility will include offices and meeting rooms with a secure lobby with medium level security features. A lower level parking garage with two 2) stories above is assumed based on the current understanding of the department's needs. However, the County will give due consideration to alternative approaches and design solutions proposed by the successful A&E Firm.
