Site work for a water / sewer project in Las Vegas, Nevada. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Reroute existing 18 inch sanitary sewer from the intersection of 7th Street and Carson Avenue to the intersection of 8th Street and Carson Avenue, and then to the intersection of 8th Street and Fremont Street. The existing sewer alignment is extremely shallow and continues to surcharge after the installation of two diversion structures that allow flow from the 18 inch to a 21 inch sewer running north on 7th Street and turning east on Carson Avenue. It is anticipated this work will be completed with the 7th Street - Bridger Avenue to Stewart Avenue project in order to mitigate construction impacts of new roadway section. This project is included in the city’s FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program. As of August 24, 2022, further details regarding design and construction timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
