Renovation of a municipal facility in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,970-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility.

Governors Office of Storm Recovery at Grand Street Settlement Renovation and HAZMAT Abatement The Grand Street Settlement Project involves providing a packaged 130kW gas engine generator system, automatic transfer switches and associated electrical system distribution. Structural work associated with the gas generator on the roof. Natural gas piping and accessories, plumbing connections to equipment furnished under electrical work. Plumbing systems, fixtures. devices and equipment, including gas booster pump and backwater valves. Interior renovations including partition walls and doors for electrical room, removal and replacement of ceilings and associated lighting upgrade. Roof work associated with the gas generator on the roof. Excavation and backfilling associated with plumbing and electrical work. Associated asbestos abatement, mold remediation and disposal of hazardous and universal waste. The Dormitory Authority of the State of New Yorkhas determined that its interest in obtaining the best work at the lowest possible price, preventing favoritism, fraud and corruption, and other considerations such as the impact of delay, the possibility of cost savings advantages and any local history of labor unrest are met by use of a Project Labor Agreement on this Project. The successful low bidder, as a condition of being awarded this Contract will be required to execute the PLA described in the Information for Bidders and included in the Contract Documents. See Section 18.0 of the Information for Bidders of the Contract documents for additional information. All sub-contractors of every tier will be required to agree to be bound by the PLA. Construction cost estimate for this work is $750,000 to $1,150,000. .Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 20% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 12% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Minority & Women Workforce Goal (for all trades) 45%
