The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price bid for acceptance by the Borough for Procurement of new and demo / replacement of two (2) existing cast iron boilers. All work to be done per owner provided construction documents. Coordination with KPB and the Fire Department will be required. The building is in use and will remain in use throughout the work and a temporary source of heating is to be installed as part of the scope of work. Requests from Bidders for interpretation or clarification of the Bid Documents shall be made in writing to the Purchasing and Contracting Director and shall arrive no later than 5:00 PM on October 7, 2019. Questions may be submitted through the online questions and answers section of this bid through online. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor irregularities in any bids or in the bidding procedure, and to accept any bid presented which meets or exceeds said specifications and which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Borough. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a contract for the work within ten (10) days after receiving the contract documents from Owner; if Contractor does not return executed copies within this time, then, at the option of Owner, the bid may be rejected.
