Renovation of a detention facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
This project intends to remove and replace the existing roofs of the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility. Roof replacement will include new roofing system materials and all related work consistent with existing building architecture. The new roofs will provide a watertight environment for all personnel and equipment, prevent any damage to building structure systems and interior finishes, and improve personnel and inmate habitability. This roofing project should deliver a cost effective process that integrates the best energy efficient methods and technology. As of February 20, 2025, the project is in construction documents and beginning the permitting phase. Bidding is tentatively scheduled for Spring 2025. Further details regarding firm construction and completion timelines have not been released.
