Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Stamford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
As of May 27, 2021, this project has not yet been awarded. The start date and completion date is not yet available. The City of Stamford (City) has been awarded federal funding which provides funds to towns for the purpose of construction a multi-use bicycle and pedestrian trail along the western bank of the Mill River between Green Street and Scalzi Park crossing the Hart Elementary School and Cloonan Middle School properties and West North Street. The trail includes landscaping, decorative lighting, a pedestrian bridge, fencing and gates, signage and other multi-use trail related elements and appurtenances. This contract is subject to utilization goals and requirements for participation of certified disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). The City of Stamford hereby notifies all bidders that this contract has been assigned a 13% goal for DBE, as certified by ConnDOT. Full instructions and forms are included in the Bidding Documents. The minimum rates to be paid for labor of the various classifications shall be in accordance with Federal wage rates and CT State Labor wage rates. The Contract Wage Certification Form is to be submitted to the Labor Commissioner before the award of the contract. The right is reserved by the City to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informalities or defects in Bids, and to make such time extensions as may be necessary in order to review and compare Bids, to obtain such supplemental information as may be necessary to review Bids and to accept Bid(s) that, in the judgment of the City, will be in the City's best interest.
