For Partial HVAC Replacements and Fire Alarm Upgrades at the Manasquan High School Prime Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Department of Property and Management Construction, prior to the date that bids are received. Any bids submitted under the terms of New Jersey Statutes not including a copy of a valid and active Pre-qualified/Classification Certificate and New Jersey Department of Labor Contractor Registration Certificate may be rejected as being non-responsive to bid requirements. One of the following DPMC-Classified Trade(s) and License(s) are required by the Overall Prime Bidder and/or their subcontractors: C008 General Construction C009 General Construction/Alterations and Additions. C032 Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACr). A PRE-CONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE will be held on 02 December 2019. Construction may begin on or about 21 December 2019 and shall be substantially completed on or before 28 August 2020. Bids must be made upon the official Form of Bid and shall include Bid Security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or by Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Owner in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid but in no case in excess of $20,000.00. The bid shall also be accompanied by an executed Consent of Surety in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25, agreeing to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the stated principal amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, and a two-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract amount.
