The anticipated Council award date is December 17, 2019. The contract is for 80 working days. The work for this project as indicated by the Contract Documents is for the roof replacement at the City of Fairfield Center for Creative Arts located at 1035 W. Texas Street, Fairfield, CA 94533 and includes the following elements: 1) removal of existing surfaced built-up roofing system,rigid insulation, reglets, counter-flashings, flashings, roof drains, partial gutters,and removal and salvage of existing smoke vents, removal of existing roof ducts,removal of existing ladder. Replace existing roof mounted gas pipe with new gas pipe of the same size and location after new roofing is in place. 2) infill deck openings 3) power-wash existing CMU walls, 4) installation of new roofing system,rigid insulation, minor electrical work, flashings, copings, roof drains, overflow drains and new conduits, support blocks and straps, new mechanical ducts,reinstallation of smoke vents, and installation of new gutter, new pipe jacks, new roof ladders with cage, bird netting with Unistrut support, new pre manufactured Unistrut stairs 5) clean out and test roof drains and overflows to verify clear flow. 6) Replacement of existing lights to LED light fixtures. Building will be occupied during construction. Provide cooling during the construction for the stage, main house, lobby and restrooms by connecting existing HVAC units to interior ducts with temporary flexible ducts. Bid Guaranty and Bonding Requirements are as follows: (a) a bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the bid price must be submitted with bid proposal, (b) the successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of 100% of total bid price.
