Renovation of an educational facility in Fredonia, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
All work on this Contract is to be completed by August 18, 2022. Project Location: 280 Central Ave, Fredonia, NY 14063 Door Hardware and door replacement in various quantities at the follow buildings: Athletic Complex (Dods and Steele Halls and the Natatorium), Carnahan Jackson Center, Children's Center, Fenton Hall, Jewett Hall, LoGrasso Hall, Mason Hall, Maytum Hall, Rockefeller Arts Center, ReedLibrary, Thompson Hall, University Commons and Williams Center. All prospective bidders must obtain official bid documents from The State University of New York Fredonia pursuant to SFL 143 above. This will also allow for inclusion 'on the project's Plan Holders List and direct receipt of any Addenda and/or Clarifications that may be issued. Bids submitted by contractors who have obtained bid forms in any other manner will be considered informal. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The MWBE Goals for this project are 15% for Certified Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE) and 15% for Certified Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) for an overall MWBE Goal of 30%. The Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) Goal for this project is 6%. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids. State Finance Law 139-j and 139-k imposes certain restrictions on communications between a Governmental Entity and a Bidder during the procurement process. During the restricted period the Bidder is restricted from making contacts to other than designated contact unless it is a contact that is included among certain statutory exceptions set forth in State Finance Law 139-j(3)(a). The restricted period is from the earliest notice of intent to solicit offers through final award and approval of the Contract. Certain findings of non-responsibility can result in rejection for contract award and in the event of two findings within a 4-year period the Bidder is debarred from obtaining government procurement contracts.
