Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Findlay, Ohio. Working plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

As of 11/19/2019 The bids came in too high and were rejected, planning to rebid but no new schedule yet. This project consists of the construction of a new building for use as an auxiliary fire station by the Allen Township Fire Department. The probable construction cost is governed by Prevailing Wage Rates for Hancock County, Ohio. The successful Bidder must be an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer, which prohibits discrimination based on race, creed, skin color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, handicap, political affiliation, or beliefs. Proposals must be submitted on the Bidding Form furnished by the Board of Allen Township Trustees and must contain the name and contact information of the person, firm or corporation interested in offering a bid therein. Bids shall be sealed inside the delivery envelope and marked with this text centered across the front of that interior envelope: "BID FOR 2019 FIRE DEPARTMENT BUILDING CONSTRUCTION PROJECT, Allen Township, Hancock County, Ohio" Bidders are required to file with their bid a Guaranty Bond, a certified check, a cashier's check or a letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 10% of the bid. The proposal bond or certified check submitted with the bid will be held as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into. Proposal bonds and certified checks will be returned to all Bidders after the contract has been entered into and secured by a performance bond of 100% of the contract with a satisfactory surety for the faithful performance of the work. The successful bidder will be required to submit a payment bond for 100% of the contract price to assure payment to all persons supplying labor and material in the execution of the work provided in the contract. The successful bidder will be required to execute an affidavit relative to delinquent personal property taxes pursuant to the provisions of Section 5719.042 of the Ohio Revised Code prior to entering into a contract with Hancock County. Bidders must provide written proof of insurance and a Workers' Compensation Certificate. No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid within Sixty (60) days after the actual date of the bid opening. The Board of Allen Township Trustees intends to accept the lowest & best bid for the project but reserves the right to reject any and all, or parts of any or all bids and to waive any minor informalities in any bid, or to make the award in the best interest of Allen Township. Consideration shall be given to Contractor's integrity, compliance with public policy, established record of past performance of work of similar nature, and their financial and technical resources. The Board of Allen Township Trustees only intends to consider combined bids of all trades involved in this project with this limited scope of work. Mailed bids must be sent early enough to ensure they are received prior to the bid due date. All said bids received in good order will then be publicly opened and read aloud by the Board of Allen Township Trustees in their Public Meeting Room at the same address. One set of printed specifications and contract documents will be made available upon request by Bidders. Should a Bidder find any discrepancies, in or omissions from any of the documents, or be in doubt as to their meaning, (s)he shall advise the Board in writing, who will issue any and all necessary addenda, and/or revised documents, as may be appropriate. However, no request for clarification or information will be accepted within seventy-two (72) hours before the date and time on which bids are due.
