Site work for a water / sewer project in Lima, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The proposed Work is generally described as follows: The project includes the rehabilitation of 2,570 linear feet of 78-inch diameter combined sewer using a combination of Spiral Wound Pipe Renewal (SPR) technology and spray-applied geopolymer lining. A new 8-inch parallel relief sewer will be placed in the project area along W. Grand Avenue to capture the laterals and will be reinstated into the existing combined sewer. Forty-one (41) laterals will be replaced to the W. Grand Avenue right of way and provided cleanouts. All other laterals will be reinstated following rehabilitation. Bends in the existing sewer, as indicated in the Drawings, and existing manholes will be treated with geopolymer lining, totaling 160 linear feet. Attention of the bidders is particularly called to the requirements that all Bids must conform to the provisions of the Steel Products Procurement Act, Act of March 3, 1978, P.L. 6, No. 3, 73 P.S.1881 et seq. Contractors shall be required by the Funding Recipient to supply the Engineer and the Funding Recipient with a certification that construction on the Project complies with the Steel Products Procurement Act, upon which the Funding Recipient and the Engineer may rely to demonstrate compliance. Payment for the purchase of Bidding Documents shall be mailed to Black & Veatch Corporation, 388 South Main Street, Suite 350, Akron, Ohio 44311, attention Janel Simpson.
