** Project started 11/23/2019 and plans to end Sep, 2020.** Red Cloud Drive From: Washington Avenue (STH 20) grading, storm and sanitary sewer construction, water main extension, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, signing and pavement marking, asphaltic pavement, traffic control, and erosion control. Major work items and approximate quantities include: 3,900 tons of asphaltic pavement 6,500 linear feet of curb and gutter, 12,500 tons of Base Aggregate Dense, 3,300 linear feet of varied sized storm sewer pipe, 4,800 linear feet of sanitary sewer, 5,000 linear feet of water main, 2,600 feet of pavement marking, 13,000 square yards of restoration, and 37,000 cubic yards of borrow. \ This is a unit price contract. The estimated quantities as indicated above and on the Bid Schedule are inserted only for the purpose of determining the low bidder. \ The Contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of Sections 61.54 and 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. \ Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashiers check made payable to the Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within 15 days after the Award, the Bid Security shall be forfeited to Owner as liquidated damages. \ Bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided and all blanks must be filled in for the bid to be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days from the date of the bid opening. Failure to list subcontractors or suppliers may be cause for rejection of the Bid. \ All bidders, and sub-contractors, must file a 3-Year Contractor's Qualification Application, and other documents with the Bid (see Instructions to Bidders). NOTE: ALL applications that were previously approved under the last 3-year cycle expired on 1/31/2019. Therefore, ALL bidders and subcontractors that did NOT submit an application form for bidding on a project after the above date, MUST submit a new application form and $75.00 application fee in order to be considered for this project. All completed 3-Year Contractors Qualification Applications should be submitted directly to the Village of Mount Pleasant. \ The Owner has the right to reject any and/or all bids received, to waive any minor defects or irregularities that may be found in the bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Owner, subject to the provisions of Sections 62.15 and 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. \ Bidder awarded a contract for the work shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract price.
