Demolition and new construction of an educational facility in Middletown, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the construction of a 170,000-square-foot educational facility.

Construction of a new 170,000 SF three-story building for use as the new middle school. The new school is located on the same property but separate from the existing middle school. New construction includes a structural steel frame, LGF and CMU exterior wall and interior partition construction, brick veneer, limestone and metal panel cladding, along with curtain wall and storefront window systems. The new building is supported by all new MEPFP systems, including new services from the street. The new building will include classrooms, food service, gymnasiums and an auditorium. Site utilities for the new building are constructed concurrent with the new building construction. After the new building is completed, the existing school will be demolished with the exception of the gymnasium and pool area. A new exterior wall and MEP improvements will be put in place to make the remaining existing bui lding self-supporting as a community center and new parking, vehicular pavers for the parent drop off, and an athletic field will be constructed in the location of the former school.
