Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Provo, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; transportation facility; and transportation facility.

Awarded Amount Schedule 1 : $3,859,600 Schedule 3 : $1,679,350 Schedule 4 : $3,777,450 https://kslnewsradio.com/1914304/provo-airport-begins-major-expansion/ Ground has been broken on a new $40 million terminal at Provo Airport. The expansion will make the airport able to handle up to 16 flights a day, as opposed to the three it does now. Airport manager Steve Gleason says the 100,000 square-foot terminal will also feature family-friendly amenities when it is finished in December 2021. At Wednesday's groundbreaking, Gleason said Allegiant, the only airline that currently serves Provo, wanted more flights. "It does allow our current airline, Allegiant, to expand into some of the markets that they would like to try out of Provo, which right now they cannot because they just can't schedule those aircraft in," Gleason said. Utah Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox was one of several politicians at the groundbreaking. He believes the airport's expansion will help rural residents. "This changes everything. It's not just Utah County. It's a whole bunch of rural Utah. Unless you're close enough to St. George, this really is the best option for so many of us," Cox said. The airport's expansion is also expected to add lots of jobs to the surrounding area, as well as reduce traffic on I-15 as more travelers use Provo Airport for domestic flights instead of Salt Lake City International. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The work generally includes the following: Construction of approximately 34,000 square yards commercial airport apron including placement of approximately 68,000 cubic yards of granular fill, 150,000 cubic yards of surcharge material, 8,000 cubic yards of crushed aggregate base course, 12,000 tons of asphalt base course, and 34,000 square yards of 15 inch-thick concrete pavement. Project also includes placement of approximately 60,000 cubic yards of embankment, 35,000 cubic yards of surcharge material, and 50,000 cubic yards of granular sub-base material for the terminal building footprint, parking lots, and access loop road. Construction for this project is expected to take 210 calendar day(s). Question Submission Close Date 10/28/2019 3:00 PM MDT
