Renovation of a mixed-use development in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston (CHA) will receive statements of qualifications (Form 330) along with firm's proposal from Architectural and Engineering firms interested in being considered to provide professional services to support the design and construction of extensive renovations of single and multi-family Development. Engineering requirements will include but is not limited to electrical, mechanical, structural, plumbing and civil applications. The project will be for the Historic Robert Mills Manor and Robert Mills Manor Extension Development. These Developments are located within the Historic Charleston District. Evaluation factors are Professional qualifications and experience of the firm 30%; Overall Performance of Firm 30%; Historic District/Historic Tax Credit Experience 20%; Overall team approach 10% ; Analysis of the firm workload 10%; Section 3 Business and/or Documented Section 3 Plan 5%. Total possible points 105%. This contract is federally assisted; and will obligate the awardee not to discriminate in employment practices as mandated by the Davis-Bacon Act and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Minority and women owned business are encouraged to respond. CHA reserves the rights to retain all proposal packages submitted and use any idea in a package regardless of whether the package is selected. The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston reserves the right to wave irregularities and to reject any and all proposals. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
