The project consists of the replacement of the existing HVAC and roof at the Doelger Art Center in Daly City. The scope of work for the HVAC includes the replacement of existing furnaces and flues, installation of new registers, and removal of obsolete MEP piping, conduit, and equipment. The scope of work for the roof includes the preparation of existing built-up roof surface, installation of a new spray polyurethane foam roof, modification of the perimeter curb for new or enlarged roof drain scuppers, addition of new overflow scuppers, and replacement of the existing coping. All work is shown on the project plans and specifications. Please present a hard copy of pages 00300(1) through 00490, 004210, and 004323 with original wet signatures, to the City Clerk's office if you will be submitting a bid. Copies of the most recent "City of Daly City General Conditions, Standard Specifications and Drawings" will be available to intending bidders at the City of Daly City Public Works Department, Engineering Division, 333 - 90th Street, Daly City, CA 94015 for the price of $65.00, if obtained at that office, and $70.00, if requested by mail. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, certified or cashier's check payable to City of Daly City, in an amount not less than 10% of the aggregate bid. The time limit for the completion of work is one hundred sixty (160) working days. The first day of this time period will be no later than the 28th calendar day after the contract award. Due to funding restrictions, construction shall be completed no later than December 31, 2025. The contractor shall be registered on SAM.gov and shall provide acknowledgement that they are not debarred, suspended, excluded or ineligible from participating in federally funded projects. In accordance with the California Labor Code, general prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages shall be paid on this project. Copies of applicable prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages are available on request to the City Engineer. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in such bids and, if awarded, to award the contract in the best interest of the City Said contracts and all required related documents (Faithful Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Bond, Acknowledgment, Corporate Resolution, insurance certificates and other required items as set forth in the General Conditions and Contract Agreement) shall be executed, completed, and returned to the City office that transmitted the Contract Documents to the Contractor via the Letter of Award, no later than 4:30 p.m. on the tenth calendar day following award of the contract.
