Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Vienna, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.

https://www.bizjournals.com/washington/news/2020/04/23/metro-plans-to-close-silver-line-this-summer.html Metro said it will take advantage of lower ridership numbers created by the coronavirus pandemic and close its Silver Line this summer to connect the second phase of the western expansion to its first phase. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, the region's transit agency, will also expand its platform rebuilding project on the Orange Line, adding East Falls Church station to the list of Vienna, Dunn Loring and West Falls Church stations it had already planned to close this summer for an ongoing systemwide project. Metro closed its Blue and Yellow lines south of Reagan National Airport last summer to rebuild platforms along that stretch. Metro said the closures will also limit the exposure of its frontline staff in the face of the pandemic, minimize delays for riders when they do return to trains and mitigate any delays in Metro's capital program. The closures will run from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. If restrictions on businesses and stay-at-home orders in Greater Washington are lifted, Metro will not be able to reopen the stations if they're in the midst of heavy construction, according to The Washington Post. Like the station closures last summer, free shuttles will serve as a stopgap. The Silver Line work mainly involves testing of software and communication systems, according to WTOP. The first phase opened in 2014. The second phase, hit with construction problems and delays, is now likely to begin taking riders in 2021, according to reports. Ridership west of Ballston station on the Orange and Silver lines is currently down about 95%, according to Metro. The system has drastically reduced service and closed stations in recent weeks to help stem the spread of the coronavirus and protect its employees. Metro's board will discuss the summer closures at its Thursday meeting. -------------- The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) hereby requests your participation in this solicitation, F20051/NAC Station Platform Rehabilitation Program Contract 2 (K-Line). All prospective vendors responding to this solicitation must utilize WMATA's Construction Project Management Software System (PMSS), "Procore". Procore helps to streamline the procurement process by allowing proposers to download relevant proposing documents and to then submit a proposal electronically. WMATA is seeking the services of a Design Builder to complete the design, construction, testing, and commissioning of four (4) Station Platform rehabilitation projects located on the Orange Line. The Work includes complete design, demolition, rehabilitation and construction, testing, commissioning required for the rehabilitation of the following Metro Stations: K08 Vienna; K07 Dunn Loring - Merrifield; K06 West Falls Church and K05 East Falls Church, as indicated in the RFP documents.
