Bituminous Resurfacing Between Milepost 333.37 and Milepost 340.05 and Median Barrier Replacement Between Milepost 337.37 and Milepost 340.03 in Montgomery County This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and work necessary to perform the bituminous resurfacing between MP 2.22 and MP 9.29. Also included is roadway reprofiling, construction of roadway drainage facilities, construction of guide rail, placement of erosion and sediment pollution controls, maintenance and protection of traffic during construction and pavement markings. Major work items include the following: 475 CY Excavation, Class 1 41,491 TON Asphalt Materials (Base, Binder & Wearing Courses) 612 TON Subbase No. 2A 345,201 SY Milling of Bituminous Pavement Surface, Various Types 208 LF Drainage Pipe, Various Types and Sizes 103 EACH Inlet Top Units, Various Types 2443 CY Rock Armor, Modified 3175 LF Guiderail, Various Types 740 LF Single Face Concrete Barrier, 41" 39,768 LF Temporary Concrete Barrier An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure.
