Renovation of a municipal facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Design plans call for the renovation of a 33,000-square-foot municipal facility.
Interior renovations of approximately 33,000 square feet of space on the 3rd floor of the Law Courts. Scope of work is as follows: update all finishes throughout the 3rd floor including refinishing all millwork; replacement of all existing millwork witness stands and the re-configuring and/or refinishing of existing millwork judge dias', accused boxes and court clerk desks; replacement of all existing courtroom doors and modifications to existing millwork to accommodate new doors; update finishes in holding cells and renovate security monitoring room; installation of new wall cladding within courtrooms and public corridor; replacement of courtroom ceilings; update all signage and wayfinding throughout 3rd floor; update the interior to make the 3rd floor more sanitary and hypoallergenic. TIMELINE: Project is still in design due to a change of scope, causing a delay in the construction schedule. Tender for construction may be issued in 2023, timing is undetermined & dependent on the owner's decision to proceed. Updates may be available late spring 2023. *Budget has not been released.
