Montgomery County Emergency Services District No 8 is accepting Request for Proposals for Construction Manager at Risk services from contractors for construction of Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 8 Fire Station No. 5. Montgomery County ESD No. 8 is planning on constructing a new one story, two apparatus bay fire station, of approximately 8,500 sf. The project location is: 6425 Rayford Rd., Spring, Montgomery County Texas, 77386. The project consists of a two drive-through apparatus bay Fire Station that will house 5 full time personnel. The building will contain the Montgomery County Emergency Services District (ESD) No. 8 SMC Fire Department staff and crew. The site contains approximately 2 acres that have not been previously developed except for a small area that currently houses a pole barn. It is cleared of large vegetation but has a large berm on one side of the site that will need to be cleared prior to construction. This project will utilize an off site regional detention location therefore will have no on-site detention. The building contains 2 drive-through apparatus bays. Adjacent to the bays are service areas including a gear room, laundry room, and small electrical room. The interior consists of five single dorm sleeping quarters with 3 separate single use bathrooms, a watch office and a SAFE room / office, a physical fitness/workout room, a day room, dining room and kitchen area win 3 walk-in pantries. The building has support spaces such as mechanical, electrical, data, and storage rooms. A generator will provide emergency power for the entire facility
