Site work for a civil project in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Furnishing of all labor and material for the construction of the following items in the approximate quantities indicated: The project is construction of a 900 foot deep municipal water supply well. The well will be drilled in two phases The project is construction of a 900 foot deep municipal water supply well. The well will be drilled in two phases. The first phase includes drilling and installing 30 feet of 18 inch outer casing, installing a removable centering pipe, drilling 870 feet of 8 inch pilot hole, water quality testing and well performance testing. The second phase includes drilling 685 feet of 18 inch borehole, installation of 715 feet of 10 inch inner casing, drilling 185 feet of 10 inch open borehole, water quality testing, and well performance testing. Furnishing and installing pumping equipment and all other well house construction will be a separate future phase. Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Use of American Iron and Steel: The Contract requires the use of American Iron and Steel products. Iron and steel products means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. Contractor will be required to provide Owner documentation of the use of American Iron and Steel. Contractors on the Project shall be required to comply with the minimum wages and labor standards, and conditions of employment to be observed, as determined by the Federal Davis-Bacon wage rates, under the Contract. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under contract. Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements apply to this Project (E.O. 11246). The Owner encourages MBEs, WBEs, and SBRAs to submit Bid proposals. Bids shall be directed to the Town Clerk, securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper, "BID FOR SANITARY DISTRICT NO. 2 ARBOR HILLS WELL NO. 2 - WELL CONSTRUCTION." The Town of Shelby reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the Town. GOALS FOR WOMEN AND MINORITY UTILISATION IN CONSTRUCTION- Goals for Women-6.9 MBE- 0.8 %
