Site work, paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The work for which proposals are invited consist of the rehabilitation of the Canal Street Viaduct consists of replacing the superstructure and supporting columns of the viaduct structure (Structure No. 016-6514) over Amtrak tracks and platforms of Chicago Union Station. Repairs will be made to the Chicago Union Station retaining wall which supports the superstructure. Also included is reconstruction of Canal Street pavement on grade from the south side of Harrison Street to the north side of Jackson Boulevard, including intersections and the intersection with Van Buren Street. Also included is rehabilitation work on the retaining walls along Canal Street at the Ida B. Wells Parkway underpass. The elevated viaduct structure from Van Buren to Harrison, attached to the Old Post Office, is rehabilitated by others. This includes but is not limited to structural demolition, construction of a new substructure from above the grade beams, construction of a new superstructure, retaining wall repairs and partial replacement, pavement construction, milling and resurfacing of roadway surface, roadway lighting installation, traffic signal installation, drainage system, maintenance of traffic, construction of new ADA sidewalk ramps, coordination with Amtrak as described in the detail specifications, including all appurtenant work and accessories, to the complete satisfaction of, approval and acceptance by the City. This description of work is intended to be general in nature and is neither a complete description nor a limitation on the work to be performed. Contractor shall perform all Work described in the Contract Documents or reasonably inferable as necessary to produce the results specified therein, except to the extent specifically indicated in the Contract Documents to be the responsibility of others. CONTRACT SPECIFIC GOALS: 32% MBE 10% WBE 1% VBE
