Renovation of a mixed-use development in Norco, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
Per the owner, as of February 8, 2022, this project has been cancelled. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. .................. This project consists of remodeling the former woodshop in building 575 to suit the installation of a metal additive manufacturing lab. This lab will utilize metal powders, some highly reactive and explosive, to create three-dimensional components using laser sintering. The space must therefore conform to NFPA 484 and UFC 3-600-01. This will require updating electrical, wall and ceiling construction and the addition of an electrical closet. The metal sintering process also requires the use of inert gas atmosphere so installation and plumbing of Nitrogen and argon lines will also be necessary. Finally, the new equipment will need to be connected and commissioned to begin use. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
