As of January 3, 2020 the project is not yet awarded. It is expected to be awarded on February 2020. Q&A Deadline: 11/6/2019 4:00:00 PM The Smithfield Water Supply Board (SWSB) is seeking sealed Bids for the Rocky Hill, Island Woods, and Burlingame Tank Rehabilitation project. The rehabilitation work includes removal and replacement of the existing interior and exterior paint coating systems, installation of water mixing systems, installation of TTHM removal systems, modifications to the tank overflows and vents, and other minor structural repairs that may become apparent once the tanks are offline. All Bidders must comply with the State of Rhode Island requirements regarding the participation of minority/women's business enterprises (MBE/WBE's) or DBE in the performance of this contract. The successful bidder will be required to include in their bid documents for subcontractors and MBE/WBE's "Fair Share" percentage which totals at least 10 percent (10%) of the dollar value of the entire procurement or project. Bid Security in the form identified within the Instruction to Bidders, and in the amount of five (5) percent of the total Bid amount, must accompany each bid. The successful Bidder must furnish a Performance and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, in the specific formats as attached herein, both for the full value of the Bid Price, along with all required insurance certificates, within ten (10) calendar days after the award date in order to execute a Contract. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) days following the closing time for receipt of Bids. Substantial Completion has been established for each tank as detailed in Specification Section 01 35 00 following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be issued by January 30, 2020. Liquidated damages will be in the amount of $1500.00 for each calendar day of delay from the Substantial Completion dates established for each tank in accordance with Specification Section 01 35 00. SWSB reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularity in the Bids received, and to accept the Bid or parts thereof deemed to be most favorable to the best interest of SWSB.
