Renovation of a municipal facility in Bangor, Maine. Working plans call for the renovation of a 42,800-square-foot municipal facility.
Confirmed shortlist The City of Bangor requests proposal packages from Professional Construction Managers to provide services to assist the City of Bangor with the Final Design and Construction Phases for the first floor renovations to the Bangor City Hall located at 73 Harlow Street, Bangor, Maine. The Construction Manager (CM) will work directly with City staff (Manager's Department and Engineering Department) and the City's Design Consultant to assist in the development of the construction documentation and oversee all phases of construction. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: Review of Construction Documentation, Specifications, and Project Bids The CM will review the documents and specifications of the proposed renovations to provide value engineering as well as address constructability issues. When construction bids have been provided the CM will work with City Staff and Design team to select the best responsible bidder to complete the work. Meetings with City Staff We anticipate that the Construction Manager will meet weekly with City staff and the design team during the development of construction documentation and biweekly during project construction. Construction Inspection Services Provide full-time construction inspection services during construction phase of the project to insure work is being completed in accordance with documents and specifications. Any question asked outside of these meeting must be submitted in writing to bids@bangormaine.gov no later than 4:30 PM, Friday, April 15, 2022. The City will issue a response to any questions or inquiries submitted in writing by the date above, on or before 4:30 PM, Friday, April , 2022
