Site work and new construction of a civil project in Richmond, British Columbia. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.

Install a large diameter water main within a tunnel crossing under the Fraser River that will withstand and remain fully operational following the Maximum Credible Earthquake. The new crossing will also provide increased capacity to meet future demand to communities south of the Fraser River, and will be protected from scour. TIMELINE: Preliminary design commenced in 2024. Construction is scheduled to commence in 2029 or 2030 and is anticipated to take approximately five years to complete. All other timelines are undefined at this time. Further update in summer 2026. Construction budget is unreleased.
