Site work, paving, environmental remediation and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.
Green Line Implementation Project - Development of Geary Avenue and Lower Davenport Parcels. The goal is to design and oversee the development of parkland on Geary Avenue and MacPherson Avenue, in keeping with the Green Line Implementation Plan. The guiding principles for the Green Line include connectivity, safety, walkability, place making, and encouraging human and ecological health. All improvements within the provincially owned land parcels within the Hydro Corridor are subject to technical approvals by Hydro One. Scope includes implementing the vision for the Green Line, to transform a currently in-use electric transmission corridor into a five km-long connected park and open space. The corridor is owned by the Province of Ontario and includes active Hydro One infrastructure that powers our city and beyond. However, the land can do double-duty as both hydro corridor and public green space. TIMELINE: Architect has completed design for the development of parkland at Geary Avenue and Lower Davenport. Tender and construction timing was deferred due to lack of funding and has yet to be determined. Further update summer/fall 2025. *Construction cost is unreleased.
