Morgan County Area Technology Center Renovation and Addition. Work is to be performed in accordance with the Contract Documents (plans, specifications, and addenda) as prepared by the Murphy Group Architects, PLLC. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in the best interest of the Owner. The bid opening will be public, and the contract will be with the Owner. Each bid must be accompanied by a 5% Bid Bond, or certified check made payable to Morgan County Board of Education. A 100% Performance and Payment Bond will be required upon execution of the contract. The bid must be submitted in DUPLICATE on the Form of Proposal located in the Project Manual. Both copies of the Form ofProposal and Bid Bond shall be placed in a sealed envelope labeled "SEALED BID ENCLOSED" and have the Project Name, the Bidders name and address clearly indicated on the outside. No bidder may withdraw their submitted bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the Bid Date. If a bidder wishes to submit a bid via FedEx or UPS it must arrive at the physical address of the Morgan County Board ofEducation, prior to the date and time listed above for bids due. Liquidated damages will be assessed at a rate of $500 / calendar day if the substantial completion date is not met.
