As of January 24, 2023, construction has been completed. A closed solicitation is below, for reference: 1.0 PURPOSE OF REQUEST The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to evaluate and select a qualified architectural firm to provide design and engineering (A&E) services for the construction of the Recreation Center/Events Center project consisting of: 1. Regulation outdoor covered skating/hockey rink (85 ft. x 200 ft.); 2. Main floor locker rooms; second floor offices, meeting rooms overlooking the recreation fields, and an ice viewing area overlooking the Cardinal Arena; 3. Multi use indoor open space to allow dry floor/trade shows, wedding receptions, concerts, indoor Pickle ball, and tennis courts; 4. Indoor seating for shows/concerts; 5. Commercial kitchen space; and 5. Lounge/kids play space. It is the intent of the City of Willmar to proceed forward and contract with the selected A&E firm for the construction of the Recreation Center/Events Center Project. The firm's proposed fees are to be converted to a Fixed Lump Sum for the project once a control estimate is formulated and agreed upon in conjunction with the Owner and the Construction Manager (CMr). The services are identified in this RFP and are defined in the form of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Standard Form of Agreement between Owner and Architect, Construction Manager as Constructor Addition, AIA Document B133-2014 as amended by the City, and attendant AIA forms, as amended by the City. The location of this project is 2707 Arena Drive, Willmar, MN. The new Recreation Center/Events Center facility will consist of the following: 1.
