Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the demolition of a multi-residential development; and for the construction of a 125,000-square-foot, 10-story above grade, 138-unit multi-residential development.
Revitalization of the existing affordable housing development. The scope of work includes construction of a 10-storey apartment building with 138 units to replace the existing 6-storey Rent-Geared-to Income buildings. The units will be in a mix of 57 1-bedroom, 34 2-bedroom, 45 3-bedroom and 2 4-bedroom. Amenity space will lobby space and 800 sq ft of gathering space on the third floor. The parking for this project will be shared with the market building currently being developed on the site. TIMELINE: Rezoning has been approved. Site plan submissions to the city of Toronto from summer, 2022 are under review. The developer is acting as contractor for the construction of rent-geared to income buildings. Construction began fall, 2021. Completion is expected early 2024. The first market building on the site has been identified and is followed separately as the QA (Queen & Ashbridge) Condominium.
