East Hartford Public Schools (EHPS) seeks to remove approximately 41,520 total square feet of vinyl tile and mastic and replace with new vinyl composition tile (VCT) at Goodwin School, located at 1235 Forbes Street, East Hartford, CT. Goodwin School was constructed in 1968, and much of the vinyl tile and mastic is asbestos containing. Please Note: Prime Contractor is required to be DAS Certified for this work. This is a re-bid of bid # 1803-22 opened on 5/27/2022. This new bid package allows contractors to bid on the entire project OR just the abatement work portion OR just the floor tile replacement portion. Payment Procedure- Certified payment applications received by the 15th of the month will be paid by the 15th of the following month. If received on the above schedule, payment will be made within 30 days of receipt. Retainage will be 5%. These figures will be added to sections 4.1.3 and 4.1.4 of the resulting AIA A104 contract. Contractors and all subcontractors must be properly licensed by the State ofConnecticut. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the contract value must be supplied with all bids in orderto be considered.
