PCL was subsequently selected by the City to complete this Construction Manager at Risk project. PCL worked closely with the engineer and owner to evaluate the existing conditions of the partially completed work, including site work, concrete, piping, and uninstalled equipment. Extensive rework was required to bring the construction into acceptable conditions. The UP01 Expansion project increased the capacity of the plant by 30 MGD with these improvements: high-rate chlorination facilities, a new aeration basin, two new primary clarifiers, two new secondary clarifiers, a centrate treatment facility, a chemical storage and feed facility, and new odor-control facilities. As a result of the coordinated effort, the expansion was a success. _______________________________ The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified consultant team to provide engineering services for the rehabilitation of piping systems, mechanical equipment, structures and supports, electrical feed and distribution systems, and control systems related to the Plant 2B treatment train at the 91st Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant. Services may include engineering analyses, design, permitting, programming, and possible construction administration and inspection services. This project site is located at 5615 South 91st Avenue, Tolleson, Arizona. The estimated total construction cost for this project is $34.65 million.
