The Project generally consists of the construction of approximately 3,000 L.F. of 12-inch water line along CR-222. Installation, including crossings at Ryan Creek and Rock Creek, shall be completed by horizontal directional drilling with HDPE piping provided by the Owner. Associated work also includes erosion and sediment control, traffic control and landscaping of disturbed areas. The Owner requires the Project to be substantially complete in 95 calendar days from the date that the Contract Times commence to run as indicated on the Notice to Proceed. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. In order to Bid on the Project, the Bidder shall possess a valid General Contractor's license for work in the State of Alabama. The Contractor's license number shall be clearly indicated on the outside of sealed Bid envelopes. Bidder and its Subcontractors shall comply with all applicable licensing requirements of the Code of Alabama, federal and local Laws or Regulations. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid must accompany the bidder's proposal. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) and evidence of insurance as prescribed in the Bidding Documents. Bid shall be submitted on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to waive any informality in the bidding.
