Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and renovation of a mixed-use development in Oakland, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The proposed work consists, in general of renovation of Holly Mini Park. The scope of work shall include but not be limited to the following items: coordinate with City staff and other project partners; provide labor, equipment, material, and supplies as necessary to install, place, construct and complete the project as shown in the bid documents; general site demolition; clearing and grubbing; remove and dispose existing chain link fence at the beginning of the project; demolish and dispose of existing playground structure; remove one existing light pole and return to City maintenance yard (7101 Edgewater Drive); site earthwork and rough grading; import and export fills; electrical utility and lighting equipment; water utilities and furnishings; furnish and place landscape boulders; install, place, and construct CMU mural wall, footing, and plaster; furnish and place boulder retaining wall; site drainage and French drain; fine grading; rigid and permeable paving at pathways; basketball court; and picnic areas; furnish and install new playground equipment, basketball hoop and site furniture; signage; play area safety surface; sidewalk repairs; planting and irrigation; furnish and install new fencing and gates; and all other work specifically shown in the project documents. All work shall meet all current codes and ADA specifications. The proposed work consists, in general, of site demolition; grading and fill; and utility work (hook up drinking fountain and electrical lights). The site improvements shall include, but are not limited to the following items: site drainage; fine grading; paving at pathways; sidewalk repairs; landscape boulders; CMU mural wall; basketball court; playground equipment and safety surfacing; site furniture; signage; plantings and irrigation; fencing and gates; lighting; water fountain and all other work specifically shown in the project documents. The Contractor shall coordinate with City staff and other project partners to provide labor, equipment, material, and supplies as necessary to install, place, construct and complete the project as shown in the bid documents. All work shall meet all current codes and ADA specifications. The Holly Mini Park Renovation Project (Project) is a collaborative effort between the City, the community, Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation (OPRF), private donors, and the Safety Impact Table. The Safety Impact Table is a program organized by the Youth Ventures Joint Powers Authority, which is a partnership comprised of representatives from the City of Oakland, Alameda County, and other entities. Working with the City's Public Safety Department, the Safety Impact Table adopted the Project as one of its violence prevention strategies. This park renovation will improve access to safe outdoor space, increase social cohesion, and increase physical activity among children and adults in a high-crime neighborhood of East Oakland. The Project would not be possible without the generous donations of services and materials, including pro-bono design service, construction labor and materials, and we encourage further contributions of construction labor and materials from any suppliers, sub-contractors, and general contractors.
