The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is requesting proposals from qualified bidders to provide all material and labor to make technology and finish upgrades to 5 classrooms at the University of Nebraska at Kearney in the College of Education Building and West Center. The project includes minor demolition, extensive AV technology upgrades, new ATC ceilings, lighting, minimal HVAC upgrades, and new carpet/paint. Identification of Contract(s) to be Awarded: Single Prime Contract covering the work of all trades. BID SECURITY A. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the amount of the Base Bid is required. BOND A. Successful Bidder will be required to furnish an Owner's Protective Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount. B. NU's UNFP 6.3.1.1.6, Owner's Protective Bond, shall be used in lieu of AIA Document A311 - Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond. C. An electronic copy of the bond must be submitted as a response attachment in eBid and the original hard copy must be received by NU's Procurement Services at the address above within three (3) business days of bid closing date. INFORMALITIES AND REJECTION OF BIDS A. Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity, in any Bid, which does not materially affect the integrity or effectiveness of the competitive bidding process.
