The work for Bid No. 2022-008 consists of the reconstruction of sidewalk segments along the north side of Main Street, extending from the intersection of Nelson Ave. to the intersection of N. Division Street in Peekskill, NY. The project also includes but is not limited to the installation of site amenities, utilities, lighting, and replacement of sidewalk access doors within the project area. Additionally, there are two (2) Alternates as described in detail in the bid materials. This Project is funded by the City of Peekskill and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) grant contract #14139, and may also be funded in part by a Department of State (DOS) grant contract as part of the City of Peekskill's Downtown Revitalization Initiative. The Contractor must comply with State provisions under each contract. Bid forms (Section C) must be copied from the USB flash drive, filled out, and submitted in paper form. Executed bid forms must also be scanned onto the provided USB flash drive and submitted as part of the bid. As bid security, each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond acceptable to the City in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Certified Checks shall be made payable to the City of Peekskill, New York and are to be held by the City as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. In default of such execution and delivery of Contract and Bonds, the amount of the deposit represented by the check shall be forfeited and retained by the City of Peekskill as liquidated damages.
