Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Mulgrave, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project is located at two locations within Mulgrave, Guysborough County, Nova Scotia: Main Street and Loggie Street. The Main Street location includes the existing Extended Aeration Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and associated submersible pumping station, while the Loggie Street location includes the existing Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) WWTP. The project generally involves the consolidation of flows that are currently treated at the Main Street WWTP to a new submersible pumping station. From there, flows will be pumped to the new WWTP (located adjacent the existing Loggie Street WWTP). The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: trench and mass excavation, construction of cast-in-place concrete tankage (aerated grit chamber, SBRs), construction of a Screening Building, Process Building; Process Mechanical pipework, equipment, and related appurtenances.; Mechanical plumbing, HVAC.; Electrical lighting, distribution, controls, instrumentation; site works, yard piping, site grading, access road, fencing; plant testing, start-up, commissioning, as well as demolition & removals of existing infrastructure not designated to remain. The existing facility must remain operational throughout construction. Maintain continuous site security for the duration of the Work. Estimated Duration of Contract (months) 11.
