The project includes the removal of a driveway and installation of a storm sewer in a proposed drainage easement along the east property line of #2 White Pillars Lane. It also includes point repairs to the concrete pavement on North Country Squire, Memorial Point Lane, Heritage Oaks Lane, and Farnham Park. A concrete sidewalk will also be installed in the east right-of-way of North Piney Point Road from Beinhorn Road to Holidan Way. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the largest possible total for the bid submitted as a guaranty of completion of the forms provided by the City within 10 days after notice of award. Bid sureties will be returned to all but the three lowest acceptable bidders within 24 hours after execution of the contract. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, upon forms furnished by the City, each in the amount of 100 percent of the total contract price, from a surety company acceptable to the City of Piney Point Village. Unreasonable or "Unbalanced" unit prices will be sufficient cause for rejection of any kind. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all technicalities and accept any bid that it deems advantageous of itself. In case of ambiguity or lack of clarity in stating the prices in the bids, the City reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject the bids.
