Site work for a water / sewer project in Fort Pierce, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project work consists of dredging approximately 65,000 cubic yards of predominantly medium grained sand (with silt, shell, and rock) by hydraulic cutter suction, mechanical, or hopper dredge to construct a sediment impoundment basin inside Fort Pierce Inlet, St. Lucie County, Florida. Contractor shall anticipate difficult excavation conditions. The contract will include dredging, transport, and placement of dredged material payable as a unit cost item per cubic yard dredged. For the purposes of bidding and project planning, the estimated volume to be excavated is 65,000 cubic yards; however, project construction may entail dredging slightly more or less at the time of construction.
