Saving Project...

Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of an educational facility in Chico, California. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a 26,900-square-foot educational facility; for the construction of a 40,000-square-foot educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

This project will construct a new building to replace the 26,900 ASF/41,200 GSF Glenn Hall (#6), a 1959 building designed by the State Architect and far passed its usable life. The new 40,000 ASF/70,800 GSF building will provide a single facility to house the instructional and support space needs for the College of Business. The building will provide classrooms, collaborative learning spaces, work spaces, faculty offices, and spaces for centers/academic support programs. This project is currently in the Californian State University's FY 2022-2026 CIP. Per the owner, as of February 7, 2023, a feasibility study has been done on this project. The owner states that this project has not yet been funded and is probably 3-5 years from being funded. Owner states that no design has begun yet. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
