Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Design plans call for the construction of a 342,437-square-foot, six-story above grade, 358-unit multi-residential development; educational facility; and playground / park / athletic field.

Construction of a comprehensively planned mixed-use development, a land and community enhancement project incorporating housing, services, education, outdoor spaces, and amenities. The development consists of three 6-storey multi-family rental apartment buildings and a single-storey 1,605m2 community building (Building 4). Building 2 includes 205m2 of ground floor commercial gross floor area and 9 live/work units. The total gross floor area of the development is 31,825m2. Properties in the Fifth Street Corridor (564 Fifth Street, 502 and 505 Howard Avenue, Nanaimo, BC). Tetuxwtun (pronounced Tey-tux-tun) is a land and community enhancement project developing 5.8 acres from three existing properties into housing, services, open space and amenities. TIMELINE: Design is ongoing. The project is pending development permit approval. Phase one building permit and construction start is anticipated in 2027/2028 subject to other municipal approvals.
