Bidding is expected to happen in February 2021, with construction scheduled to begin April 2021. Completion is set for August 2022. Reconstruction of Longfellow Elementary School The District is currently working with the City Parks and Recreation Department on a "land swap." This would mean that the District would build a new Longfellow Elementary School on parkland adjacent to the current Longfellow building. Once construction is complete, the students would begin attending school at the new building and the City would acquire the former Longfellow building.
