As of March 29, 2022, construction is underway. The original solicitation is preserved below for reference. The project involves renovating approximately 2,000 SF on the first floor of the Brain Mapping Center for a new Siemens PET - MRI, including a control room and an equipment room, Waiting Room; Hot Lab; Patient Toilet and support spaces. The scope of work would include modification of the surrounding area to accommodate the new scanner; radio frequency and radiation shielding, installation of cooling equipment and modification of existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Construction cost for the Brain Mapping PET - MRI, installation, is still unknown but anticipated to be approximately $2 million, pending further study. Responses to this RFQ should demonstrate familiarity and experience in the design of PET, MRI and healthcare facilities, interior furnishings and equipment selection.
